In order to meet the high requirements of the system for mathematical model and solve the problem of pure lag in the control of magnetic powder clutch, fuzzy PID and Smith predictive compensation control are established by using Simulink simulation tools. The simulation results show that in the winding taper tension control system based on magnetic powder cl utch, fuzzy PID and Smith predictive compensation control can achieve ideal control effec t.
